The staff and administration at Brownington Central School strive to provide an atmosphere conducive to excellence in learning, as well as social and emotional development. Furthermore, we believe that every child can learn and become successful. We believe in excellence for all. The staff and administration look forward to working with parents and students to achieve these goals.

Mt. Pisgah Hike
The students are working on filling the tube by October 2! If they do*, we hike!
Mt. Pisgah, TENTATIVELY scheduled for:
Thursday, October 5, 2017, 8:20-12:00
All hikers must have:
Sneakers or hiking boots/shoes
Sweatshirt and/or rain jacket
Backpack to hold snack, water, layers
No students may carry knives or glass bottles
Portable electronic devices are not allowed to be used on the bus or the trail for this event.
Students should be encouraged to pack their own snack food
School will provide a granola bar for each child
Students must bring their own water in non-glass bottles
Students will return to school in time for lunch in the cafeteria
SParents are welcome to join the hike. Since we will be packing the buses tightly to save costs, parents will have to get their own ride to the trailhead (on Rt. 5A just south of the lake).
* Based on the wonderful students we have, the behavior we have seen so far, and the fantastic support our kids get from the adults in their lives, we are pretty sure that we are going to make this goal. Check out the BCS Tube Cam to watch our progress.
